You're Already In a Continuous State of Manifestation
It's time to learn to do it consciously and with intent
Much like having boundaries, manifestation is not about control. It’s not about exerting any kind of influence on anything external.
It’s about maintaining internal balance, clarity and being able to direct yourself in a way that aligns with your own higher sense of purpose.
The side effects of this are that universal forces do then act in such a way,, or you have aligned with them in such a way, that the pathways and people and knowledge and opportunities you’re seeking find you more easily.
Because what you’re changing is yourself. This is your inner alchemy — the only type of control or influence you can ultimately be concerned with and still stay in universal alignment.
In this short article I’ll cover the ways in which everyone is always already manifesting on the individual and collective level, and then look closely at what it takes to do this in a more conscious, intentional, and healthy way.
The Mundane Manifestation of the Everyday
Popular discourse likes to cast the concept of manifestation as as “New Age” type of idea, but when you look at what actually comprises it and how it actually works, it’s the most mundane thing of all.
You are already in a continuous state of manifestation even when you don’t know it or haven’t yet learned about it. It literally comes down to:
what habits you’re locked into
what you repeat
what loops you run
what your daily and weekly routines are
the route you take driving home
your pre-sleep routine
every place where you’re on automatic
Do you see the commonality here? This is where it all begins.
Take a look at the list again and see if you can notice what’s at the common root of all of this.
What actually creates reality (the kind that you’ll experience), on an ultimate level?
Actions that each person takes. Someone publishes an article; someone chooses specific words rather than other ones; someone spends their money in one way and not another; someone refrains from something; someone shares one of their desires; someone repeats the same negative beliefs and tries to convince others of them. Someone eventually tries to do something different.
Actions are the endpoint. But a lot of behind the scenes moves go into reaching that endpoint.
The common root of all of the above lies in our point of attention. Attention is a choice. And it’s always the first choice we’re making. You need to learn to make that choice consciously and very intentionally.
Attention determines where the rest of our energy flows —- sort of like choosing which tap to open or which colour of ink we’ll use or what direction we’ll be driving in.
What happens collectively on the everyday level?
Everyone is working hard at reanimating the same social, cultural, political. and psychological narratives and categories. Each instance of these is a choice.
business repeats a profit cycle
media repeats the business cycle
culture repeats the media cycle
writers repeat the cultural cycle
politics repeats the cultural cycle
individual repeat various suffering cycles
individuals repeat business cycles
social media fuses all of this into an eternal form of repetition
Because social media effectively distills, fuses, concentrates, and amplifies all of the above, it should be your first point of biochemical and conscious decluttering. And thankfully, for most people, it usually is. Most of us have learned this well at this point.
Everything mentioned above sends us into familar loops of reaction, feeling, biochemistry and then behaviors made and taken on that basis. We know this.
You need to completely disengage from that loop. (This doesn’t mean living in a cave — it means you’re consciously and literally OUT OF THE LOOP. See?
(It’s most obvious in the US, although the matrix has different expressions in different cultures — but if you grew up elsewhere and then went to the US on exchange, for example, you see how tightly the matrix there runs — each month, a carefully scheduled “holiday” or “sporting event” that becomes an occasion (an urging, an impetus) for specific forms of consumption and collective behavior (and these are often stacked on top of each other and related political events, such as entire “years” for campaigning, and so on). And this calendar repeats on a yearly basis with such gravitational strength that siphons most of the energy of revolutionary change — the halftime shows of the SuperBowl are one of the best examples of this type of reanimation of the matrix (while appearing as if they’re an exception to it).)
How To Manifest A Life of Growth, Healing and Nourishment
So the first step of authentic, conscious manifestation has to be that you disengage from the loops you’re hooked into. It’s not always just about the collective matrix.
You run all kinds of personal loops. These are basically cybernetic survival loops that link you into specific environments or behaviors that give you a specific experience or set of emotional states. And emotional states, on a physical level, become biochemical states.
Biochemical categories and narratives. And then we can get addicted to those, and continue to run more loops that keep them active.
One important distinction that often seems to get overlooked between the lower vs. higher vibrational states is that the lower vibrational states tend to be locked in with various survival loops — indeed, a network of them — that effectively works to re-create the same reality (because this is the interpretation of life at this level: homeostasis).
On the other hand, higher vibrational states tend toward creativity, novelty, and learning new patterns. In other words, the interpretation of life on this level is growth.
Many different traits, characteristics and specific steps have been mentioned by many as “what you really need” for manifestation.
But here are the three or four that I would focus on.
Self-love and self-respect (honouring your Self)
As a spiritual mentor of mine said, if you don’t honour the divine within, don’t even bother looking for it anywhere else.
It’s already present within you as love and as the gifts you’re meant to develop, and you need to honour that if you want to stay in alignment and in health.
Self-respect and self-love aren’t feelings or egoistic. It’s about taking the actions that are congruent with who and what you say you want to be and how you want to live your life.
You need to jump into the stream in order to let it carry you. Self-love and self-respect continue to grow once you see yourself taking these actions for yourself, and all of this raises your vibration and overall frequency.
Maintain your focus inward, in the present moment
Calling all your energy back means you’re disengaging from the narratives and categories that circulate in public waters.
It might be fine if everyone were conscious and intentional and operating from love — the public waters would be much cleaner and safe to drink from.
Choose not to reanimate concepts and narratives that literally siphon your energy because they keep you locked into loops that reinforce biochemical addictions (and thus keep you stuck in the same patterns).
To get out from and step in front of this cycle, you need all your energy in the present moment and internally-directed as much as possible.
Again, this also isn’t about ego or a focus on “me” — it’s a focus on your body, the biochemical environment you’re experiencing, and what your authentic needs and desires are.
Ego, by contrast, is the whole “story” that we animate about our self and relation to others (and v.v.) which links us into the cybernetic survival loops.
Use the “SIAh” method
This one’s mine. It’s an acronym for:
see it (as holistically and completely as possible)
intend it (with directed, inspired actions)
affirm it (consciously choosing beliefs)
“ahhh” (release into gratitude and trust, like the out-breath)
We breathe in cycles, just like waves.
Breathwork is another area that many people might overlook, but when you look into its metaphysical overtones, it’s fascinating.
Sound waves, gravitational waves, and dark energetic waves are what begin to comprise the very substance of any existence at all.
We can choose what waves we want to ride on. Delta waves, for example, are slower, deeper, and more conducive to restorative states. We can imagine our breath as an index of which wave states we’re in.
We can also do a specific breathing exercise where we breathe in the above — the vision and intentions for the direction we want to move in — and then release this into gratitude with the out-breath.
So this has been a brief overview of manifestation: what it comes down to and how and why you’re already doing it.
There are many other esoteric layers to the concept, but on a practical level this is where you need to focus.
Try this and let me know how it goes for you.
I’m going into a session of my own right now.
